This album showcases Yes’ stellar performance at the Yale Bowl, in New Haven, Connecticut, on 24 July 1971, during the band’s The Yes Album Tour.

Steve Howe’s transcendent skills as a guitarist and songwriter ignited a creative fire in the group, and the resulting The Yes Album blatantly spelled this out for everyone to see. The album turned the heads of critics and record buyers alike, hitting No. 4 in the U.K. and cracking the U.S. Top 40. Touring for the album took a year to complete (1970–71), starting and ending in London.

The New Haven concert was the final date of Yes’ first American tour, and whilst evidently shorter than some other setlists during the tour, this particular show brought a lot of critical acclaim for the band.

Fully restored and professionally remastered, this might be the greatest performance ever by Yes captured live on FM radio. The intensity of the playing has also marked this show out from others in fan circles who refer to this as the Holy Grail of Yes broadcasts from 1971.

This is a great recording of some Yes classics. Great versions pre- Yessongs. Perpetual Change is fantastic including a rare Bill Bruford drum solo. I love this vinyl, so pleased I bought it. The description provided by Coda was spot-on. A must for lifelong Yes fans.
