This album showcases Whitesnake’s electrifying performance at the inaugural Rock in Rio festival, on 11 January 1985.

The festival was held from 11–20 January 1985 at Rio’s Cidade do Rock. Whitesnake performed on the opening night of Friday 11 January, and returned to the stage on 19 January. The audience for both nights exceeded 250,000 people.

Featuring the lineup of David Coverdale (vocals), John Sykes (guitar), Neil Murray (bass), Cozy Powell (drums) and Richard Bailey (keyboards), both sets delivered showcased a leaner, meaner sound, and are regarded as a defining moment in the band’s 1980s shift.

Included here, are fan favourites such as Walking in the Shadow of the Blues, Ready an’ Willing, Love Ain’t No Stranger, Slow an’ Easy, Slide It In, Don’t Break My Heart Again and more.
