Tool – Live at the Jello Loft (Double-LP on Clear Vinyl)

This double album captures Tool’s debut gig, recorded at The Jello Loft, in Los Angeles, on 5 September 1991.

Before Tool were considered progressive metal titans, lauded for their mesmerising live shows, they were an alternative metal group made up of four misfits who seemingly struck a unique balance with one another and a burgeoning fanbase.

The material featured here, would later appear on both Tool’s 1992 debut EP, Opiate, and 1993’s full-length follow-up, Undertow. Enjoy early versions of Cold and Ugly, Sweat and Hush. The juxtaposition of these tracks next to their darker, progressive successors such as Intolerance, Prison Sex and Sober, highlight the singular vision Tool were already striving towards.

This extraordinary performance will remain a Tool milestone and a historic artefact in the band’s trajectory for ever more.
