The Cramps – Do the Clam 1986 (Double-LP on White Vinyl)

This double album captures the Cramps’ raucous gig at the Volkshaus, in Zurich, Switzerland, on 21 April 1986.

Featured across two discs, are the Cramps staples such as What’s Inside a Girl?, TV Set and Human Fly, alongside a host of unique covers, including Elvis’ Heartbreak Hotel, Rick Nelson’s Lonesome Town and the Trashmen’s Surfin’ Bird.

The Cramps are credited as progenitors of the psychobilly subgenre. The band’s unique sound unites classic rockabilly, elements of punk rock, touches of psychedelia, and lyrical fare devoted mostly to monster movies and sleazy sex into an infectious, gloriously tasteless conglomeration of American trash culture.
