This release is limited to 500 copies.
This album showcases The Clash’s blistering gig at the Nakano Sunplaza, in Tokyo, Japan, on 28 January 1982.
After finishing up recording sessions for what would become their fifth studio album, Combat Rock, in December 1981, The Clash began 1982 with a six-week jaunt across Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Thailand (where they would shoot the iconic cover for their forthcoming album) and Japan.
The tour is noteworthy for being one of the last to feature drummer Topper Headon. His departure from the band brought an end to the original line-up.
Featured here, are punk milestones such as London Calling, Safe European Home, (White Man) In Hammersmith Palais, Armagideon Time, London’s Burning, Police on My Back and more.
Pearl Harbour (Paul Simonon’s wife) joined the band for a cover of Wanda Jackson’s Fujiyama Mama.
