This double album captures Sonic Youth’s final U.S. show, played on 12 August 2011, on an outdoor stage overlooking the East River at the Williamsburg Waterfront, in Brooklyn, New York.

The expansive and unorthodox 85-minute setlist spanned Sonic Youth’s nearly three decade catalogue, with the band performing several songs for the first time in decades.

Standout tracks include the rare deep cut Brave Men Run (In My Family), the sweeping fan-favorite Sugar Kane, and the raw, noisy energy of Kill Yr Idols. The massive, nearly 12-minute closer, Inhuman, pushed the band’s signature guitar fuzz and feedback to the absolute limit.

The gig was a triumphant and blistering bookend to the storied career of one of the most influential bands in rock history.
