Roger Waters – Newport Folk (12-Inch Double-LP)

This double album captures Roger Waters’ historic headline appearance at the Newport Folk Festival, on 24 July 2015, in its entirety. The festival was held at Fort Adams State Park, in Newport, Rhode Island.

Backed by My Morning Jacket, as well as Lucius, Saturday Night Live band leader G.E. Smith, Amy Helm and Sara Watkins, the surprise headliner delivered a rare acoustic-focused, stripped-back set.

The performance featured the Pink Floyd classics Mother, Wish You Were Here, Brain Damage and Eclipse. Solo cuts included the live debut of Crystal Clear Brooks, alongside The Bravery of Being Out of Range and Amused to Death. A cover of Bob Dylan’s Forever Young brought proceedings to a close – one of three covers dotted throughout the setlist.
