Robert Plant – Beacon Theatre (Double-LP on Clear Vinyl)
Couldn't load pickup availability
This double album showcases Robert Plant’s stunning set at the Beacon Theatre, in New York, on 23 June 2006.
This performance is from the “We’re Doing It For Love” benefit concert, which was a medical fund raiser for Love’s Arthur Lee, who was uninsured and undergoing treatment for leukaemia at the time.
The house band backing Plant was called The Rant Band. It included Andy York (John Mellencamp’s lead guitarist), Tony Shanahan (Patti Smith’s bass player), Steve Holley (Paul McCartney & Wings drummer), James Mastro (guitar), Andy Burton (keyboards) and guests Johnny Echols (guitar) and Ian Hunter (guitar, vocals).
Featured here, are three Led Zeppelin cuts (In the Evening, What Is and What Should Never Be and Ramble On), alongside eight incredible covers, including four Love numbers.
