This double album showcases Queen’s historic headline performance on the opening night of the inaugural Rock in Rio festival.

The festival was held from 11–20 January 1985 at Rio’s Cidade do Rock. Queen headlined on Friday 11 January, and returned to the stage a week later, headlining on 18 January – the band hit the stage around 2am each night, technically dating the performances the 12th and 19th. The audience for both nights exceeded 250,000 people.
