Prince – Miami Glam Slam Club 1994 (12-Inch Album on 180g Vinyl)

This album features highlights from two stunning live performances by Prince at Glam Slam East, in Miami, during June 1994.

In late 1989, Prince opened a nightclub called Glam Slam in Minneapolis. In 1994, he took his club to the dance-scene mecca of the south, and opened a Glam Slam club in Miami Beach, coined ‘Glam Slam East’. Other clubs opened in Los Angeles (Glam Slam West) and Yokohama (Glam Slam Yokohama).

In June 1994, Prince partied like it was 1999 for his 36th birthday, playing three consecutive nights at the venue, from the 8th to the 10th.

Here, the opening side documents Prince’s performance from 9 June, whilst Side Two showcases the previous evening’s set. Featured tracks include The Most Beautiful Girl in the World, Billy Jack Bitch, Loose! and more.
