Pink Floyd – Pink Floyd at Pompeii MCMLXXII (12-Inch Double-LP on 180g Vinyl)

Released as part of a long-awaited restoration of the ground-breaking 1972 film, Pink Floyd at Pompeii MCMLXXII saw the original 35mm footage painstakingly hand restored, frame by frame.

To accompany this, Steven Wilson remastered and remixed the audio into 5.1 surround and Dolby Atmos, with the music released officially for the first time on vinyl. Wilson aimed to remain faithful to how the band would have sounded in the Italian amphitheatre in October 1971.

Notably, Miles Showell utilised Abbey Road’s half-speed mastering technique to cut the vinyl lacquers.

This double album includes two additional tracks – an alternate take of Careful with That Axe, Eugene, and an unedited A Saucerful of Secrets – are also included included.

This release is housed in a matte gatefold sleeve with high gloss photographs inside. Included, are two printed paper inner sleeves and a giant 90×60 cm fold-out movie poster, folded into six panels.
