This album showcases Lou Reed’s legendary concert at the Roxy, in West Hollywood, on 1 December 1976, during the Rock and Roll Heart Tour.

This incendiary, experimental set blended Velvet Underground numbers with solo material and showcases a unique avant-garde, electric rock performance. The show features Reed’s touring ensemble alongside free-jazz icon Don Cherry, whose honks and bleeps turn Reed’s iconic narratives on their head, completely reinvigorating his repertoire.

Side One features the Velvet Underground classics Sweet Jane, Lisa Says and I’m Waiting for the Man. Side Two comprises three celebrated solo cuts in the shape of Walk On the Wild Side, Coney Island Baby and You Wear It So Well.
