This album showcases David Bowie’s spectacular concert at the Arènes de Fréjus, in Fréjus, France, on 27 May 1983, during the Serious Moonlight Tour.
Backed by an exceptional band featuring Carlos Alomar, Earl Slick, Carmine Rojas and Tony Thompson, Bowie delivered a set bridging his experimental past with his newly emerging pop-era sound.
Featured here, are Bowie classics such as “Heroes”, Fashion, Let’s Dance, Life on Mars?, Ashes to Ashes, Young Americans and more.
The Serious Moonlight Tour began in May 1983 in support of Let’s Dance. The tour opened at the Vorst Forest Nationaal, Brussels, on 18 May 1983 and ended in the Hong Kong Coliseum on 8 December 1983; fifteen countries visited, ninety-six performances, and over 2.6 million tickets sold.
