Pink Floyd – BBC 1968 (12-Inch Album on Translucent Green & Yellow Vinyl)
This album showcases four 1968 BBC live sessions by Pink Floyd, performed just prior to and following the release of their legendary second studio album, A Saucerful of Secrets.
The first two tracks come from live shows in London at Barnes Common and the Abbey Mills Pumping Station, recorded live for the BBC programmes The Sound of Change and All My Loving, respectively. The next four tracks, from 25 June, were recorded in-studio at the BBC’s own Piccadilly Studios for the iconic programme, Top Gear.
Side Two showcases an amazing 2 December set from BBC’s Studio 4, at the Maida Vale Studios, in London, again for Top Gear.
Featured tracks include early Floyd classics such as Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun, Let There Be More Light, Interstellar Overdrive and many more.
