John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers – BBC Radio 1966 / Radio Bremen 1969 (Limited Edition 12-Inch Album on Clear Vinyl)

This album showcases three stellar live performances by John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers. Led by multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter John Mayall, the band has been influential as an incubator for a number of iconic British rock and blues musicians.

The opening six tracks, recorded for the BBC’s Saturday Club, on 13 March 1966, feature Eric Clapton on lead guitar and John McVie on bass.

The final track from Side One is taken from a 31 January 1970 performance for WDR’s Beat Club, featuring John Marr on lead guitar.

Side Two showcases John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers in concert at the Die Glocke concert hall, in Bremen, Germany, on 22 May 1969. Recorded for Radio Bremen this performance features Mick Taylor on lead guitar.
