Between late September and early December, Zappa hit the road performing a largely domestic tour that criss-crossed the United States and took in a couple of shows in Canada. On board for the tour were Frank’s latest touring band, comprising Chad Wackerman on drums, Ed Mann on percussion, Tommy Mars on keyboards, Scott Thunes on bass, with Steve Vai and Ray White on guitar.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003eIn November the group travelled to New York State, played a couple of shows up north before hitting the city and unloading at the infamous Ritz, in the East Village, on 17 November.
