This double album showcases the Emerson, Lake & Palmer’s stellar concert at the Korakuen Stadium, in Tokyo, on 22 July 1972, during the Trilogy Tour.

In July 1972, the double bill of Free and Emerson, Lake & Palmer had a two date mini-tour of Japan. The tour lasted for two days – with shows in Tokyo on the 22nd and in Osaka on the 24th. Instead of playing the Budokan and Festival Hall respectively (where most touring groups played), they played in massive baseball stadiums in front of tens of thousands of fans.

This momentous performance captures Emerson, Lake & Palmer in their element with a set that is brief on paper, but gigantic in its scope with extended versions of iconic classics. This pays dividends for listeners who can immerse themselves in bold and compelling versions that remain largely unique to these Japanese shows.

Featured tracks include Lucky Man, Tarkus, Hoedown and more.
